Chelpa Ferro

Chelpa Ferro is a Brazilian artistic group which uses industrial machinery as their tool to create sounds. They are fond of systems and their work combines a high degree of hand-crafted machines and computational systems.
To create this proposal for their monograph I bought an Olivetti Lettera 32 and composed the texts and captions, using the limitations of this system to deal with different kinds of information. The typewriter was used as a metaphor to their work: a human operated machine that outputs text and sound.
